Righteousness Rules

“But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture. Malachi 4:2 NLT

God made two great lights, and the purpose was to let the lights rule. The greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night (Genesis 1:16). Both lights are great, and authorized to dominate.

The light that rules the day is the "sun" and the light that rules the night is the star (s); Psalm 136:8-9. When the sun rises we know that a new day or season has dawned, where darkness completely disappears and everything becomes clear (Genesis 1:14).

Therefore the "Sun of Righteousness" comes to begin a new season in your life, a season when the works and effects of darkness are obliterated, and the works of light are established. Christ Jesus is our righteouness, his righteouness removes sin, shame, slavery, defeat just as the sun exercises dominion over darkness.

This is the portion of those who have put our faith in him, for we have become beneficiaries of his death and conquest over sin, death, flesh, and the world. In Christ we have been brought into a new season; wealth, health, victory. Enjoy his Sun!
