(Revelation 1:18) I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

I find it interesting to see how our Lord introduced Himself in our theme verse for today. He said, “I am He who lives and was dead”. By this, He is reminding us of the fact that He defeated death by resurrecting from the dead. It is in line with this scripture that Apostle Paul also said, “knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him” (Romans 6:9).

He also told us that He has the keys of Hades and of Death in our theme scripture. This means He has paralyzed hell and death. He can lock and unlock them at any time. Please know that He holds these keys in your favor for you are the favored of the Lord (Psalms 5:12). David being a Prophet of God also declared that Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me (Psalms 23:4). He said this by relying on the rod and staff of God which points to the Word of God. And we know Jesus Christ is the Word of God (John 1:1). If David took advantage of the death of Jesus by buying into the future under the Old Testament, then don’t lose grounds for you are in the New Testament. Start praying and prophesy that you are victorious over death. Halleluyah!

Activity: Start praying and prophesy that you are victorious over death.

Confession: My Lord Jesus Christ is the One who has the keys of hell and of death. He holds these keys in my favor; therefore, I declare that I am victorious over death. I am blessed and favored. Halleluyah!

Say this if you have never been born again. I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.

You can begin to attract God’s goodness into your life from today.
