GLORIOUS WORD DEVOTIONAL
(Deuteronomy 28:13) And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.
Our theme scripture for today reveals God’s desire for you. It is His plan to make you the head and not the tail, and to keep you above only and not beneath. The words “will make” in our theme scripture come from one Hebrew word which could be translated as “lift you to become, lift you to occupy a position, or even grant you something”. With this in mind, we can paraphrase our theme scripture as “and the Lord will make, that is, lift you to become the head, lift you to occupy the head position or grant you the position of the ‘head’ so that you don’t become the tail; or be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.
Now, in the Old Testament, they were given a condition to fulfill before this scripture could work in their lives but in the New Testament you were born out of the Word of God, otherwise known as the commandments of God (1 Peter 1:23). With this understanding, it’s easy to see yourself as a ‘limit breaker’. Start praying and declare that you are a limit-breaker. Declare that you are limitless, so you are getting stronger and stronger by the day. Halleluyah!
Activity: Start praying and declare that you are a limit-breaker. Declare that you are limitless, so you are getting stronger and stronger by the day.
Confession: I am a limit-breaker so I am breaking limits this year. I am breaking limits on all fronts in my life. I am the head and not the tail. I will forever be above and not beneath. Halleluyah
Say this if you have never been born again. I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.
You can begin to attract God’s goodness into your life from today.
