GLORIOUS WORD DEVOTIONAL

13/12/2021

DON’T CONTINUE IN SIN

(Romans 6:1-2) What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?

As a Christian, you should eschew evil and all manner of sin. In our theme scripture, Apostle Paul asked a very profound question. He said, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?” The Apostle helped us to know that we are dead to sin. This means the nature of sin died in us the day we made Jesus Christ our Lord. Now, you are a new creation, created in Christ Jesus to do good works only (Acts 10:38; 2 Corinthians 5:17). So, don’t be happy with the wrongs you may be doing for that is not your true nature.

Get serious with Jesus and refuse to sin. Your real nature has been created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24). So, don’t say where sin abounded grace much more abounds so you will continue in sin (Romans 5:20). No! You are bigger than sin! Don’t continue in sin! Halleluyah!

Activity: Spend time in prayer and fellowship with the Spirit of God. Talk to the Holy Spirit to help you live an immoral free life from today forward.

Confession: I am a new creation, created in Christ Jesus to do good works only. I refuse to sin or continue in sin. I don’t frustrate the grace of God. I am serious with the things of God and I am growing every day. Halleluyah!

I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.

Congratulations

You can begin to attract God’s goodness into your life from today.
