GLORIOUS WORD DEVOTIONAL

LIFT YOUR HANDS IN PRAYER

(Psalms 141:2) Let my prayer be set before You as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

There was a special sacrifice made in the evenings in the Old Testament section of the Bible. This sacrifice has a lot of prophetic significance in prayer. David likened the lifting up of our hands in prayer to this sacrifice.

In the days of Elijah, he called the fire to come from heaven at the time of the evening sacrifice (1 Kings 18:36 And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant and that I have done all these things at Your word). So, by putting 1 Kings 18:36 and Psalms 141:2 we can say the fire of God is released when we lift up our hands in prayer. Learn to lift up your hands in prayer. Halleluyah!

Meditation: (Psalms 141:2) Let my prayer be set before You as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Activity:

Spend time in prayer today. Lift up your hands as you talk to God in prayer.

Confession: The lifting up of my hands in prayer is like the evening sacrifice. The fire of God is released whenever I lift up my hands in prayer. Halleluyah!

If you have never been born again then make the confession below.

I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.

Congratulations

You can begin to attract God’s goodness into your life from today.
