TAME YOUR BODY
(1 Thessalonians 4:4) that each of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor [being available for God’s purpose and separated from things profane], (AMP)
As a Christian, you need to take quality time and work on your body. You should do this in times of fellowship with the Holy Ghost. At such times, tell Him to control every part of your body for you. You should come to a point where it is not only your spirit and soul that would be controlled by the Holy Spirit but your body too. Your body should submit to God’s Word and the things of God. This is what our theme scripture for today is teaching us.
When you tame your body, you will notice that you cannot be controlled by the hunger for food, the thirst for water, the desire to swindle or defraud others, money, sexual desire, and all the things that control the natural man. You will just live above these things. Do you want to live above these things? If this is your desire, then tame your body in prayer by asking the Holy Spirit to take charge of your body so that you can use it as an instrument of righteousness and holiness. Halleluyah!
Confession: Every part of me submits to the rulership of God’s Word and His Holy Spirit. I have tamed my body to go in the way of the Lord only. For this reason, I yield myself to the Holy Spirit, which causes me to walk in victories and blessings. Halleluyah!
Say this if you have never been born again. I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.
